‘The Great Fire’ may be coming to your neighbourhood

“The Great Flame is here.”
A big blue flame, so large and bright, and so deadly.
The Great Fire is burning in the middle of the country, in Ottawa’s downtown core.
A few weeks ago, it was a roaring blaze, with people fleeing the city for the suburbs.
But it’s not over yet.
“It’s not going to be over until there’s an evacuation order issued,” said fire spokesperson Doug Smith.
“The flames are just getting stronger and more intense.”
There’s still plenty of time to do something about the fire.
Fire crews will continue to keep the city safe and ensure that the area remains safe for residents.
But they will not be able to extinguish the fire until the fire is contained.
The city is working to make that happen quickly.
“We’re trying to get as much out of this fire as we can,” said Smith.
As for what we can do to help, we’ll be doing a lot of things.
We’re trying our best to get people out of the area, but we need their help.
With fire officials telling people to evacuate, it will be difficult for firefighters to put out the fire and make sure they’re out of harm’s way.
